Some Parts was a lightweight robot which fought in the final two seasons of BattleBots. It was an invertible four-wheeled wedge-shaped robot with no active weapon (for Season 5.0 the robot was equipped with a hinged wedge at the front of the robot). It didn't do too well in competition, winning only one battle.
Some Parts was named due to the fact that builder Ray Ebert realized after Season 3.0 he had enough spare parts in his garage to make a lightweight. He also built middleweight Malvolio.
Robot History Edit
Some Parts first went up against Alpha Crusader. Alpha Crusader had the classic 2-wheeled instability handling. It could not aim or steer. Some Parts easily got under it and pushed it around, flipping it once. Alpha bent its hammer shaft from wacking the floor. It soon realized that Some Parts were going to beat it if it kept getting wedged, and so it tried to change tactics and do a spinning attack. It didn't work very well. Its only chance came when Some Parts got stuck on the spike strip, but Some Parts freed itself. Some Parts won 34-11 and moved up the bracket.
Some Parts then fought Jo Mama. Jo Mama slammed Parts into the spike strip, and both bots were stuck there. After they were separated, the bots did the circle-and-push routine for a while, and Jo Mama seemed to be at an advantage, occasionally getting under Some Parts. As time ran out, the bots got stuck together yet again! The Judges scored a 23-22 decision in favor of Jo Mama.
Some Parts' only match this season was Mini Mer. After flipping Some Parts at one point, the time ran out and Mini Mer won on a close 25-20 judge's decision.
