Papercut was a middleweight robot which competed into the 2004 BattleBots charity event. It was a square-shaped robot armed with an overhead spinning blade. It performed decently in competition, winning two matches overall.
Papercut's weapon bar was left over from the team's previous heavyweight, Consistently Inconsistent. Its name was suggested by a friend, since the builder was at a loss for names.
Robot HistoryEdit[]
2004 NPC Charity OpenEdit[]
Papercut's first fight might have been Floor Jack. Floor Jack charges at Papercut who flees, but the moment Papercut got its blade at full speed it decided to fight back, flinging each other away the second the blade made contact with Floor Jack while also ripping a piece from Floor Jack. The next actually flipped Papercut over and Floor Jack took advantage by pushing Papercut into a pulverizer until it was counted out. Floor Jack won the match by KO and Papercut was now in the loser's bracket.
Papercut's next opponent was Major Punishment. The two approached each other rather cautiously, with Papercut looking the most fearful. Major Punishment came centimeters close to Papercut's blade but wasn't hit. Papercut eventually does strike, hitting Major Punishment four times, the last hit seems to have cut-off Major Punishment's power as it wasn't mobile anymore. Papercut won by KO and moved on to face WarSaw.
