Overbearing was a heavyweight robot which competed in the final two seasons of BattleBots. It was an octagonal robot armed with a 55-pound toothed ring which spun at 500 RPM. It didn't perform well in competition, winning only one match in Season 4.0.
Overbearing was designed and built by three college students for their senior project. The team that built Overbearing also built Little Black Box for the NPC Charity Event. Overbearing was also supposed to be revamped for said event, featuring a 10 horsepower weapon motor originally used to start tanks and titanium armor, but it was not completed in time.

Season 4.0[]
Overbearing's first match was against Interceptor. In this match, Overbearing dealt some serious damage to Interceptor's drive train and won by knockout in under two minutes. However, some damage to Overbearing's drive caused a short which made one of its drive controllers catch fire. Due to this technical problem, the team was forced to forfeit its second match against Sledge-Jammer.
Season 5.0[]
Overbearing's only match in Season 5.0 was against Chewbot. Chewbot's weapon was the perfect height to cut into Overbearing's chassis, and so the robot was nearly chopped in half lengthwise. This destructive fight ended with Overbearing being knocked out and eliminated from the competition.
