Hot Air was a lightweight multibot built by Phil Putman and Jason Bardis of the Infernolab. The robots competed as this team at Long Beach 1999. The first robot of this Multibot was Air Burial built by Phil Putman, which was a tall silver robot armed with a pair of lifting forks. The second part was Jason Bardis' 17lb Dr Inferno, which was a Tomy Omnibot armed with a set of drills. These robots didn't do very well in their only season, winning just one match before being destroyed by eventual champion Ziggo.

Robot History Edit

Long Beach 1999Edit

Hot Air was going to fight Annuit Geptus, but Annuit Geptus mysteriously disappeared, so they were marked as a forfeit and Hot Air won by default, only to come face-to-face with Ziggo, one of the fiercest robots ever.

Ziggo won by a devastating KO in 53 seconds and Hot Air was now in the loser's bracket. Hot Air was going to fight Gorange 3 in the bracket. However, even though Dr. Inferno, one-half of Hot Air, suffered tremendous damage from Ziggo, Jason worked tirelessly to repair Dr. Inferno in time for its next fight, but Air Burial had left the event & not returned to continue fighting. So, Hot Air had to forfeit. Gorange 3 won by default and Hot Air was eliminated fully.

Hot Air wasn't completely done though, as it came back for the kilobot royal rumble at the end of the tournament.
