CUAD (pronounced "Cue-Add") the Crusher was a superheavyweight robot built by Matt Ulrey that competed in Seasons 3.0 and 4.0 of BattleBots. It was a dark blue robot armed with a silver lifting arm that could also be used as a clamp. It didn't perform well in BattleBots, although it reached the televised rounds in Season 3.0. CUAD the Crusher never went further than the round of 32.
CUAD stood for "Crush Up And Destroy".
Robot History Edit
CUAD the Crusher's first ever match was against Jack the Gripper. CUAD the Crusher won by KO and advanced to the final preliminary round, where it faced Overlord. CUAD the Crusher won on a 32-13 judge's decision and advanced to the TV rounds, where it faced Techno Destructo.
This was a close battle where both robots got lifts in. Techno Destructo used its design to self-right during the battle and Techno Destructo managed to maneuver CUAD onto the killsaws, damaging the battery covers. At the end of the battle, CUAD lost its spike lifter, which may have swung the decision in Techno Destructo's favor as it won on a close 23-22 judge's decision. This meant that CUAD the Crusher was eliminated from the tournament.
As of 2015, it is unknown if CUAD the Crusher participated the superheavyweight consolation rumble during Season 3.0.
Due to its seeding, CUAD the Crusher was allowed to skip the preliminary rounds of Season 4.0, where it eventually faced Ronin. Despite CUAD lifting Ronin at one point during the match, the time ran out and Ronin won on a close 25-20 judge's decision. This meant that CUAD the Crusher was eliminated from the tournament once again.
As of 2015, it is unknown if CUAD the Crusher participated the superheavyweight consolation rumble during Season 4.0.
