Bot MATE-Tricks was a robot built by Team-MATE that competed at the inaugural Depth Charge: Underwater Robot Challenge competition. Bot MATE-Tricks used a quartet of 101 lb-thrust motors in a diamond configuration to give it excellent underwater maneuverability, and was armed with a thermal lance for the one-on-one combat events.

Bot MATE-Tricks had to face off against four other teams along with the house robot, and were considered the least experienced underdog team, consisting primarily of high-school and college students. In the end, Bot MATE-Tricks was able to win the competition, earning the "God of the Sea" trophy.
