Beef-Cake was a featherweight robot that was entered into Robot Wars Extreme: Series 1. It won the Extreme 1 Featherweight Title against RC Warrior after its opponent broke down and got stuck on the pit square. It won another Featherweight Championship in Robots@War 2001.
The team also entered Zap, a middleweight, in Extreme 1 with less success although this robot also won its category at the 2001 Robots@War event.
Beef-Cake was a steel box shaped machine with two static ramming forks at the front. It had side skirts decorated with hazard stripes, and a flashing light on top, as well as the robot's name. Its aerial was a prominent blue.
Beef-Cake zipped around the arena, hitting and darting past RC Warrior several times before they pushed them into a CPZ. A short while later, RC Warrior got stuck on the unopened pit panel, before Beef-Cake pressed the pit release button to send the wedged robot down. Following an initial attempt to attack Shunt, Beef-Cake was chased and ganged up upon by the House Robots, being flipped over by Shunt's scoop before being shoved into Sir Killalot's path. Sir Killalot proceeded to trample over Beef-Cake, before Refbot nudged it away in an attempt to protect the new featherweight champions. Shunt axed Beef-Cake's underside, but Beef-Cake remained victorious. After the battle, it was clear that the team were not happy with the unnecessary damage caused to Beef-Cake.
