Apocalypse is a robot from roaming robots made by Team Asgard. It cost £3,000 and was built in 2007. Apocalypse would later be sold on and rebuilt as An Adorable Kitten and then ACE.
A new version of Apocalypse, a box-wedge with horizontal grabbing claws and an axe similar to Splinter, took part in Series 10 of Robot Wars
Robot History
In its first battle of the 2008 UK Championship, Apocalypse met Hydra. Hydra avoided Apocalypse, but Apocalypse flipped it over, then out of the arena. In its Round 1 fight, it faced Tilly Evo, and flipped it out in under 10 seconds. But in its Quarter final match against Ripper Evo, Ripper got underneath it from the start and out it went.
At Barnsley 2009, Apocalypse fought Cabraken, and started well by flipping it against the wall, but Cabraken got down again. Apocalypse then chased them around the arena, and then the motors burned out over the pit, and Cabraken pushed the pit release so they decended into the pit. They lost in their next battle against Big Nipper and 8645T, so it didn't earn enough points to make it to the finals.
Apocalypse started well in its first Qualifier battle at Barnsley 2010, flipping Ripper Evo all over and almost into the pit. But then in an attempt to repeat what they did in 2008 to Hydra again, Hydra's axe punctured the batteries and burnt out Apocalypse's motors. For the first time, the new Apocalypse won its next battle against And His Army. It then lost its next fight at Guilford aginst Tilly Evo, so again lost out on the Semi-Finals.
Apocalypse has so far taken part in two fights in the 2011 UK Tour Championships. In its first fight, It was flipped out of the arena by Kronic straight away because it never even started moving. In its next fight with Batterbot, Storm Force & Cherub, it started moving, but then it stopped again.
